DJ’s at Coachella

Coachella has had some world class DJ’s over the years. Last year, I saw Tiesto, Benny Benassi and an amazing Paul van Dyk (and I missed VJ Mike Relm).

Coachella 2008 has a solid line up of DJ’s. Here is my Top 10, in no particular order:

1. Fatboy Slim
2. Sasha and Digweed
3. Adam Freeland
4. James Zabiela
5. Junkie XL
6. Sandra Collins
7. Diplo
8. Deadmau5
9. Dimitri from Paris
10. Above & Beyond

I admit that I could have added Justice, Boys Noize, Para One, Sebastian, Kavinsky, Busy P, but… (a) some of them are more producers than DJ’s and (b) a Top 15 or 20 is not a real chart, is it?

Critically Acclaimed Artists at Coachella 2008

As a marketing professional, I should have known better. When writing this blog, I forgot about marketing basics like customer segments and targeting.

Here I am pushing the “Top 7 parties at Coachella 2008”, because I personally love dance music and I love to party. That doesn’t mean everyone is like me. 

I have decided to create Top 7 or Top 10 Lists for people with different interests - putting myself in the customer’s shoes.  

I will start with artists who have had critically acclaimed albums in the past years according to Metacritic.
